Concert: Project Locrea

Project Locrea is a multicultural ensemble created by flutist Yana Nikol, dedicated to creating and performing original compositions and contemporary arrangements inspired by the folk music of different countries. Combining sound and instrumentation of world folk traditions with classical, jazz and contemporary music conventions, the project’s focus is to bring a better understanding and deeper connection between cultures in current days.

This particular concert program caries the title GLOBAL VOICES. In it the ensemble will perform compositions inspired by the folk music traditions of Bulgaria, Argentina, Peru, China, Ethiopia and the US.

Since its birth the ensemble has gained the love and appreciation of audiences at a local and International level and has contributed to the education of young musicians by sharing with them the values of creating music.
